About this program

WomensNet awards three $10,000 grants every month to women-owned businesses across the US and Canada. The program started in 1998, named for Amber Wigdahl, a young entrepreneur who died before she could start the business she'd been planning. One short application makes you eligible for that month's award, plus any category-specific grant running that same month.

Who is eligible?

As long as you’re a woman who is 18 years or older, your business is 50% women-owned, and operates in the United States or Canada — you’re eligible to apply.

There is a $15 application fee.

No separate application needed: every entry for the $10,000 monthly grant is automatically also entered into a $50,000 grant awarded at the end of the year. One application gives you two chances to win.

Not woman-owned, or not majority woman-led
